There are various dietary supplements on the market that can add an extra boost to your wellness regimen. While some, like Vitamin C, Omegas and multivitamins may be well-known options, others might surprise you and change your life for good.

Amla, for instance, is an excellent source of antioxidants and an immunity booster. Fortified salt can also support cardiovascular wellness as well as hasten wound healing times; finally phytoplankton serves as an efficient brain and liver detoxifier.

best underrated health supplements

1. Amla

Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is an amazing source of nutrition. It helps boost immunity, acts as a natural detoxifier and is loaded with vitamin C and other antioxidants – not to mention being high in fiber and acids like Tannic acid that help relieve constipation and improve digestion.

Amla is an ancient home remedy for diabetes that helps to regulate blood sugar levels while acting as an effective antioxidant to counteract oxidative stress and lower your risk of diabetes.

As well as offering antioxidant benefits, blueberries also work as natural anti-inflammatories and have been found effective at relieving chronic fatigue symptoms. You can consume this delicious fruit raw or as juice – it makes an ideal addition to any diet!

Fruit is a wonderful source of antioxidants and vitamins, which can help protect skin against UV damage while preventing inflammation-based conditions like acne or eczema.

Although fresh is always best, you can also prepare it as a juice or smoothie. Because this fruit is quite bitter-tasting, begin slowly increasing the dosage to see how your body responds.

This tart fruit is rich in vitamin C, helping protect cells from damage and speed healing. Furthermore, it stimulates the production of white blood cells – key elements of immune defense against infections – to boost its effectiveness.

Fruit can also help treat various digestive conditions, from ulcers and constipation to weight loss by decreasing appetite and improving metabolism. Furthermore, this fruit is an excellent aid in weight reduction as it may reduce appetite while improving metabolism.

Amla is one of the best underrated health supplements, providing an all-natural way to support your health and maintain balance in the body. A powerful immune-booster, it can also improve memory and cognitive performance.

Fruit is an abundant source of essential nutrients, and has been shown to play an integral part in protecting against cancer, heart disease and other serious ailments. High in antioxidants and rich in proteins, fiber, vitamin C and E as well as minerals like potassium iron and magnesium; its nutritional profile stands up well.

2. Fortified Salt

Salt is a staple food around the world and one of the most effective methods for providing micronutrients like iron and iodine to vulnerable populations. Deficits in these vital micronutrients have long been identified as one of the primary contributors to morbidity and mortality rates in developing nations; food fortification provides an attractive option to deliver these essential vitamins to vulnerable groups.

There are various methods available to you for fortifying salt. One option involves mixing micronutrients in with it before spraying, while others offer spray solutions on top of salt itself as an inexpensive and sustainable solution that could potentially reach millions globally in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

However, evidence on consumer acceptance and willingness to adopt multiple fortified salt formulations at the population level is scarce. We aimed to assess community perception of quintuple fortified salt (Q5FS) that contains iron, iodine, folic acid, and vitamin B12 along with double fortified and iodized salt formulations (DFS/IS).

At our lab-based sensory trial, we evaluated the flavor, aroma, taste, texture, aftertaste and overall acceptability of Q5FS, DFS and IS products. Results revealed that both Q5FS and DFS products were slightly less agreeable to sensory parameters compared with IS, though there was no significant difference in overall acceptability.

Folic acid and iodine added to salt were evaluated for stability using potassium iodate and ferrous fumarate as stabilizers, with both solutions maintaining more than 70% of their added micronutrients after six months at 45degC with 60-70% relative humidity.

3. Phytoplankton

Phytoplankton is an underappreciated health supplement that can help strengthen your immunity, boost energy, improve mood and detoxify the body.

As well as providing your body with omega-3 fatty acids, phytoplankton can also provide your body with antioxidants that may protect you against diseases and cancer. Furthermore, phytoplankton contains numerous essential nutrients and micronutrients necessary for its optimal functioning.

Magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron and zinc are among the many essential minerals found in nuts. Furthermore, essential fatty acids like EPA and DHA play an integral part in maintaining cardiovascular health.

Marine phytoplankton can also help your body flush heavy metals out more effectively while serving as a powerful source of superoxide dismutase (SOD).

Studies have demonstrated that taking phytoplankton supplements can increase T-lymphocyte production – white blood cells which fight bacteria and viruses – as well as improving energy and concentration skills in those taking marine phytoplankton supplements. Studies also indicate this could boost T-lymphocyte counts significantly. Those taking marine phytoplankton supplements report feeling more energetic as well as having greater concentration skills than before taking them.

Phytoplankton can also support optimal functioning of your immune system by increasing CD3 levels in the blood. Adrenal Fatigue patients may find their symptoms decrease with regular supplementation of phytoplankton.

Nucleotides provide essential nutrition for cell regeneration by charging up your body’s batteries without draining your liver’s energy supply. In turn, this provides a natural energy boost without draining resources from liver.

Finally, phytoplankton may reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases by helping improve brain function and cognitive processes. Furthermore, it has been demonstrated to aid depression and other mood disorders; indeed a University of Utah study demonstrated significant improvements in symptoms among participants who took daily doses of marine phytoplankton supplementation.
